Examinations Examinations

We provide comprehensive physical examinations upon every visit to ensure your pet's general health.

Vaccinations Vaccinations

We offer vaccinations against a variety of diseases and select the most appropriate protocol for your pet's specific health needs.

Routine vaccines for dogs may include:

  • Distemper-Parvovirus combination
  • Rabies
  • Bordetella
  • Leptospirosis, Lyme disease and rattlesnake vaccines as needed.

Routine vaccines for cats may include:

  • FRCP (Feline Distemper-upper respiratory vaccine)
  • Leukemia virus
  • Rabies
Surgery

We offer a wide variety of surgical procedures including routine procedures such as:

  • Spay and Neuter
  • Wound repairs and abscess care
  • Foreign body removal
  • Biopsy
  • Tumor removal
  • Amputations
  • Abdominal exploratory surgery
  • Gastrotomy
  • Enterotomy
  • Cystotomy
  • Bladder stone removal
Surgery

Complex surgeries and orthopedic procedures are referred to trusted local board certified surgeons.

Dentistry

Dental health is an important part of you pet's well being. Our dental package includes:

  • A Complete oral exam
  • Ultrasonic scaling
  • Polishing
  • Fluoride treatment

We also provide dental care for rabbits and other small mammals

Dental radiographs, minor oral surgery and tooth extractions are also available as needed.

Laboratory

We provide accurate in-house blood analysis including complete blood cell count, chemistry and electrolytes to provide prompt evaluation of pre-anesthetic screening or ill patients.

We also perform:

  • Fecal parasite evaluations to identify tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms, coccidia, giardia and other parasites.
  • Urinalysis which provide the veterinarians with information such as: hydration levels, kidney function, and a host of other potential health issues.
  • Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), and
  • Heartworm testing

For more specialized testing and histopathology we utilize IDEXX Veterinary Laboratories.

Pharmacy

For our patient's and client's convenience we maintain a wide-ranging inventory of prescription pharmaceuticals, includeing:

  • Flea and tick preventatives
  • Heartworm disease preventatives
  • Pain management
  • Nutritional supplements
  • Therapeutic shampoos

We also carry a large selection of prescription diets, including:

  • Hill's Prescription Diet
  • Iams
  • Purina Veterinary Diet
  • Royal Canin
  • Harrison's Bird Food
Imaging

We offer plain film radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of trauma, arthritis, cardiac and lung diseases as well as gastrointestinal diseases to name a few.

We also have available a board certified internist to perform abdominal and cardiac ultrasounds.

Exotics

We have a unique interest in and provide complete health care for Exotics, which include:

  • Birds (Amazon parrots, macaws, cockatoos, cockatiels, parakeets, finches, chickens, ducks, geese, etc.)
  • Bird grooming - wing, nail and beak trimming
  • Reptiles (lizards, snakes, turtles, tortoises, etc.)
  • Rabbits
  • Pocket pets (rats, mice, hamsters, ferrets, guinea pigs, etc.)
Anesthesia

Your pet's safety is our greatest concern, therefore, we utilize the safest available anesthetics as well as full patient monitoring including ECG, pulse oximeter, and blood pressure.

Cat Boarding

Loving care provided by our nursing and professional staff. Should medical problems arise we are readily available to provide their needed care.
